Former SPBL and Baseball Regina Coach Barry Erickson Inducted Hall of Fame

Former SPBL Barry Erickson (Regina Wolfpack) has been inducted as a Player and Builder. Erickson patrolled the outfield for the Regina Red Sox in the 70’s and continued his career as a longtime Baseball coach with Baseball Regina.  His coaching stint includied  the 2013 season where his Regina Wolfpack captured the SPBL Championship and competed at the Nationals in Quebec

A total of 14 individuals, three teams, the Jack Lloyd family of Swift Current and the community of Lloydminster make up the 2016 class for induction into the Saskatoon Baseball Hall-of-Fame and Museum.

The 32nd annual induction will take place Saturday, August 20 in Battleford…home of the provincial baseball shrine. Following is the news release, with the full list of inductees, from the Saskatchewan Baseball Hall-of-Fame and Museum…

MacDonald and Eiswirth 2016 Technical Instructors

Geoff MacDonald will begin his first season as Hitting coach and practice assistance for Baseball Regina.

MacDonald concluded a successful college playing career with a free agent tryout with the Arizona Diamondbacks,  a College World Series appearance and two invites to the California College Showcase in Sacramento and Salinas.

A member of the 2011 and 2012 WMBL Champion Regina Red Sox, MacDonald was also an assistant coach with the JV team at Arizona Christian University for the 2015 season.

Justin Eiswirth will be available as a Pitching coach and practice assistance for Baseball Regina.

Eiswirth’s baseball career included Taft College  where he was invited to the sophomore Showcase for Northern California ,two WMBL Championships as Head coach and assistant coach and was a member of Team Saskatchewan at the Canada Cup and Canada Summer Games.

Teams can book Justin and Geoff, free of charge, to instruct players on all skill development including of course hitting and pitching.
